More than 200 additional train services a day will be added to the south-east Queensland network from January 20 next year.

Cleveland, Ormiston, Wellington Point and Birkdale have benefited as part of the major timetable overhaul across south-east Queensland.

This is a great result for local commuters with an increase of two services during peak periods in the morning and afternoon.

The two additional services on the Cleveland line provide an extra 450 seats in both the morning and afternoon peak periods.

Public transport users can expect improved connections, better reliability and more frequent services.

The Newman Government has work had to find the saving across Queensland Rail to deliver more frequent services and from January next year we will be delivering.
